SEEMA TAPAKAI REVIEW

Allari Naresh has once again proved that he is a producer's hero. Though his film doesn’t have noteworthy story, he could entertain the audiences for almost two and a half hours and leave the theatres with a feel of satisfaction. His latest film Seema Tapakaya (Veedu Chaala Hot) is almost like a continuation of the earlier film Seema Sastry. The director tried to highlight the need to uplift the poor and give a solution to the factionalism through love, which is a nice experiment. At the same time, the director gave comedy touch to all the characters in the film.

Srikrishna (Allari Naresh) is a boy from a very rich family. His father’s (Sayaji Shinde) ambition is to become one among the notable millionaires in the world. His entire family help him in achieving this goal. Srikrishna once come across Satya (Poorna), who loves the poor and lives away from her parents. She hates rich people and had a strong opinion that the poor remained poor because the rich doesn’t want to help them in any way.
In order to gain sympathy, Srikrishna and his friend (Vennela Kishore) change their attire and get themselves introduced to Satya, and Srikrishna succeeds in winning her heart. However, all hell break lose when rivals of Satya's father attack the families. The rest of the film is how Srikrishna tries to bring an end to factionalism through charity works and win back his love.

Story:

100 % Love movie is romantic love story in which, Tamannah playing the character of Maha Lakshmi and Naga Chaitanya plays the role of an engineering student Balu, who is very serious on his carrier. On the other hand, Maha Lakshmi (Tamannah) is Balu’s relative, who comes to the city from village and joins the same Engineering college.

Maha Lakshmi is not so serious on her studies and soon falls in love with his brother-in-law Balu. But Balu thinks that is just infatuation. After completion of their studies both will join to software company. However, The main twist in the story comes after entering Swapna (Tara Alisha) entry into their life. Rest of  story is whether Maha Lakshmi realy loves Balu or its just infatuation.

Balu Mahendra (Naga Chaitanya) is a number one student in his college. Mahalakshmi (Tamanna), his cousin comes to Balu’s house to continue her studies. She is in awe of her Mr. Perfect ‘Bava’ and takes his help to achieve big in studies. Surprisingly, she surpasses him and becomes the first ranker. Balu gets deeply hurt by this and he resorts to cunning ways to deviate Maha Lakshmi. But to his surprise Ajith (Anand) stands first this time. Meanwhile Maha Lakshmi father brings her a match but she doesn’t want to marry him. Balu helps her in getting the match canceled and Mahalakshmi starts deviating Ajith from studies for the sake of Balu. When the couple is heading to fall in love, Maha Lakshmi unknowingly hurts the ego of Balu and they get separated. How they unite forms rest of the story.

Analysis:

100% Love starts with a bang right from the title credits. Sukumar’s creativity is visible in the title designing. This is easily one of the best title credits we have ever seen. Even if you go with zero percent expectations to the movie, the title credits itself will raise your expectations over 80 percent. Sukumar did his best to live up to the expectations in every scene.

Most of the scenes and situations are refreshing. Characterizations are pretty unique too. None of our directors touched this complex angle in the lead man before. Sukumar did a brilliant job with the screenplay but it loses pace as it reaches the interval point. The intermission scene looked out of place but it is vital for the story to take a different path from then on.

Second half is mainly focused on the family values and the virtues of relations. Although the lead man irks you at times with his stupid ideology he makes it up in the scene where he reveals his love to the heroine. In the process of avoiding a predictable climax, Sukumar once again took the eccentric path and the characters starts talking illogically. But by then the film already proves your ticket worth and anything excess is just a bonus.

Performances:

Naga Chaitanya improved from his previous outings but he still needs to improve. His expressions in comedic scenes are not up to the mark. He failed to get the body language right in the drunken scenes. He is sophisticated and gives a feeling that he suits better to certain type of characters.

Tamanna is a good actress and she has proved her mettle yet again. Anand and Tara Alisha are just okay. Naresh is decent and Dharmavarapu’s comedy worked in parts. Most of the star cast consists of new actors and they did well. KR Vijaya and Vijaya Kumar are standard.

Tehnicalities:
Most of the songs were situational and Devi Sri Prasad did a fine job. Dooram Dooram and Infatuation songs stand out. Diyyalo Diyyala lacked punch on the screen. Background score is pretty good. Dialogues are decent without any drama or purposeful rhyming lines. Editing is up to the mark. Cinematography is an asset to the movie. Special care is taken in the detailing and Art department did a wonderful job. Production values are neat. Although the movie is made with a medium budget the producer never compromised on the quality of films.

Screenplaywriter Hari Prasad has done a good job in creating funny, fresh and polished scenes. Even the dialogues are effective. Then, there is cameraman Prasad, who has also done a fairly good job. Lastly, composer Devi Sri Prasad has tried to give the best compositions.

However, the film, which could have been a well-made youthful entertainer, suffers because of a slow narration in the second half and a confusing climax.

In the film, Balu is a bright student who is also ego-centric. His relative Mahalakshmi comes to stay with them to persue higher studies on an invitation from his father. She is not studious and takes Balu's help in her studies. But very soon she becomes a class topper and even eclipses Balu's record.

This leads to ego clashes between Balu and Mahalakshmi who has now grown into an assertive, thinking girl. Finally, both of them realise that they are made for each other.

There is also an interesting subplot in the story, which deals with the separation of their grandparents.

The highlight of the film is Tamanna. Audiences will be bowled by her looks and her innocent expressions. Naga Chaitanya has really improved on his dialogue delivery and to a certain extent, on his performance.

Dharmavarapu lends support by his comical performance. Naresh and Vijaya Kumar too come out with decent performances. The technical department has worked in tandem with the requirements of the director.

"100% Love" could have been a pleasant watch minus it's second half.

Plus Points:

- Youthful elements
- Entertaining first half
- Novel approach

Minus points:

- Second half slows down a bit
- Climax is somewhat confusing

Final Word: 100% Love satisfies the targeted audience. Youngsters will fall in love with the film. It will do well in A centers and given its budget it should work on the commercial front too. People who love to watch different movies can give it a try. We have to wait and see if this film has something in it to p

Banner: Sri Venkateshwara
Creations.

Director: Dil Raju

Cast: Prabhas, Kajal Agarwal, Tapsee Pannu, K Vishwanath, Prakashraj, Sayaji Shinde, Nazar, Murali Mohan, Brahmanandam, Raghubabu, Viswanath Kasi, Sameer, Benarjee, Sana, Pragati, Tulasi, Master Bharat

Credits: Music – Devisri Prasad, Cinematography – Vijay K Chakravarthy, Editing – Marthand K Venkatesh, Action – Peter Haynes, Art – Ravinder, Screenplay – Hari, Presents – Smt Anitha, Producer – Dil Raju, Story and direction – Dasaradh.

Technical:
Dialogues by Abburi Ravi were good in parts. Music by Devisri Prasad is okay and almost all the songs are situational. All the lyrics are meaningful. Though a senior editor like Marthand K Venkatesh worked for the film, he failed to cut boring scenes in the second half. Though, the story in the first half is good, director Dasaradh has failed to retain the same tempo in the second half.

WALL PAPER

Story:
Vicky (Prabhas) is a person, who doesn’t want to compromise on anything in his life. He is working in Australia. He returns to India for his sister’s marriage.. Meanwhile, his parents (Nazar abd Tulasi) tell him that they wanted to settle an alliance for him with the daughter of his childhood friend (Muralimohan). However, Vicky refuses to marry her unless she suits his taste. The family meets Priya (Kajal) and Priya too doesn’t want to marry Vicky.

After a few tugs-of-war, she loses her heart to Vicky and changes herself to suit Vicky’s taste. When they wanted to fix the alliance, Vicky refuses to marry her saying that she has no individuality, because she changed her opinions for his sake and returns to Australia. Before leaving for India, Vicky fills a form given by a chocolate firm and the company had selected a girl called Maggie (Tapsee), who thinks like him. Soon, they start dating and after a month, they think that they both could marry each other, as their mindset was similar.

However, Maggie’s father (Prakash Raj) refuses the allia

nce saying that Vicky is headstrong. He challenges Vicky to impress his family members, who were gathering there for the marriage. Will he win Prakash Raj’s family? What happens to Kajal Aggarwal?, form the interesting part of the story.

Performance: Prabhas has got a different role to play in this film, which has two different shades. He has given a nice performance all through the film. He has maintained good timing in dialogue delivery and looks perfect in decent costumes. However, he should have avoided the rigid body language and would have been more flexible. Kajal looks gorgeous in traditional outfits without being glamorous. Especially, her smile makes the audience spellbound on many an occasions. Tapsee is the best choice for the second heroine.

She has dubbed her own voice for the character and this has enhanced her image in the film. She has filled the glamour slot to some extent. Other artistes including Prakash Raj, Sayaji Shinde, Murali Mohan, Viswanath, Viswanath Kasi, Sameer have done justice to their roles. Brahmanandam, Raghubabu, Gauthamraju and Master Bharat have done their best to tackle the funny bones of the audience.
